Are Itran and Igran rugs handmade?
Yes, all our rugs are meticulously hand-woven by skilled artisans using traditional Berber rug-making techniques and craftsmanship, resulting in unique works of art imbued with the expertise of our talented weavers.
How often should I vacuum my carpet?
To maintain carpet performance, regular vacuuming is essential. We recommend vacuuming the top of the carpet at least once a week, and the back once every two months. This removes dust and dirt particles that can permanently damage the fibers. Pile loss is normal, especially with new carpets, and if vacuumed correctly, using a quality vacuum cleaner, most piles will gradually disappear within the first year.
Why do we find lint on carpets or in vacuum cleaner bags, and what impact does removing it have on carpet life and quality?
Lint balls found on carpets or in the vacuum cleaner bag are fiber fragments from the carpet manufacturing process. Removing these loose fibers does not affect the life or quality of the carpet. When using a quality vacuum cleaner, most shedding gradually diminishes over the first year after installation. This shedding is characteristic of natural fiber products and has no negative impact on the carpet's portability.
How do I store my carpet properly?
If you need to store the mat, roll it up and store it horizontally in a dry place, avoiding placing anything on it. Never store a mat vertically. In the event of prolonged storage, open the unit regularly and check for moth or insect damage.
